This is my journey to fix my Class III Malocclusion (underbite) through a Le Fort I Osteotomy. I'm so scared and so excited, but mostly cannot wait to be looking back at this experience as I chew a nice piece of steak :)
that's a great blog! I love it and learned lots of new things! I think I know how you feel... everyday life has to continue but begins to feel unreal, because the big thing, the surgery is looming.. after months or even years knowing it will come, now it actually does! the days hardly seem to pass when you wish the surgery to finally be over. endless thoughts about preparation for the surgery, about how recovery is going to be, about 'will I wake up?', 'what will I look like?', 'is it the right decision?' and so on... the mind trying to control something it can't control. I don't know the best way to cope with it. maybe just give in to it and enjoy the ride like it were a roller coaster? fasten your seatbelt... :) so that's pretty much what it's been like for me! I wish you a good surgery, tons of energy and a happy spirit, good friends, a fantastic result and patience! btw don't fear the first days after surgery, they're not bad for everyone :-) looking forward to seeing after-pics!! take care, Daniel
